FRISCO, Texas — Frisco police are in a standoff with a man who ran inside a local church after a traffic stop. The man was pulled over by police at about 1:15 p.m. Wednesday, according to Frisco PD. Police say they man ran from the car into First Frisco Global Methodist Church at 7659 Preston Rd.

Frisco police took a suspect into custody Wednesday afternoon after a lengthy search near a church that began when the suspect ran away from a traffic stop. An X post at 2:15 p.m. from the department said its officers were searching for the suspect who fled on foot from the stop that occurred in the area of Preston Road and John Wesley Drive.
