Tens of thousands of additional apple juice cases sold at major stores including Walmart, Walgreens and Aldi are being recalled due to high arsenic levels.

Some apple juice manufactured by Refreso Beverages US Inc. and sold in nine different retailers, including Walmart and Walgreens, were voluntarily recalled on Sept. 9

More than 133,000 cases of apple juice have been pulled from shelves nationwide after the products were found to potentially contain harmful levels of arsenic, according to an announcement from the Food and Drug Administration.

Heads up for parents of kids who love apple juice, you may want to check the refrigerator. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has expanded an apple juice recall due to high levels of arsenic found in the products. The recall now affects 26 states plus Washington D.C., and Puerto Rico.

Apple juice products sold by popular retailers were previously recalled over high levels of arsenic. Unfortunately, that recall has broadened.

Several brands of apple juice are being recalled because they may be contaminated with harmful levels of arsenic.

A voluntary recall of apple juice products containing elevated levels of poisonous arsenic has been expanded after an initial recall was issued last month, Walmart has announced.

The recall, which originally covered only some apple juice sold at Walmart, now includes several brands sold at multiple retailers.
