AS Roma secured their place in the Europa League last 16 with a 3-2 home win over 10-man Porto on Thursday thanks to a Paulo Dybala double, advancing 4-3 on aggregate. The teams drew 1-1 in the first leg in Porto and it was the visitors who took the lead in the 27th minute with an overhead kick from Samu Aghehowa.

Paulo Dybala struck twice in four minutes as Roma beat Porto 3-2 to reach the Europa League round of 16 on Thursday. Dybala returned from a knee injury sustained in the first-leg 1-1 draw a week ago in Portugal, and Roma advanced on a 4-3 aggregate score.

Porto’s UEFA Europa League ambitions ended in the knockout round play-offs after a 3-2 defeat against Roma at Stadio Olimpico. The Dragons took a 2-1 lead in the tie in the 27th minute, capitalising on a loose pass from Mile Svilar that resulted in Samu Aghehowa sending a spectacular overhead kick into the net.
