Intel, the financially embattled chipmaker, has delayed the opening of its first Ohio factory to 2030 or 2031, multiple years after it was to open.

Intel’s massive computer chip factory, originally scheduled to open this year, has been delayed again, this time to the next decade. According to a release from Intel, the timeline for two Ohio fabs has been shifted.

Intel says it won't complete construction on one of two New Albany fabs for another five years, citing its business needs and market demand.
