Joy Woods remain on the boards this fall, moving from Broadway's 'The Notebook' – in which she originated the role of Middle Allie — to join Audra McDonald in the highly anticipated revival of 'Gypsy.

Joy Woods will play Louise in the Broadway revival of Gypsy this fall. Woods will play opposite Jordan Tyson, who will take on the role of June, as the two daughters that Mama Rose, played by Audra McDonald,

Woods, who currently plays Middle Allie in The Notebook on Broadway, will take the role of Louise, aka Gypsy Rose Lee, while Tyson, who made her Broadway debut as Younger Allie in The Notebook, will play Louise’s little sister June.

Woods and Tyson are currently featured in “The Notebook” as Middle and Younger Allie, respectively. Woods made her Broadway debut replacing as Catherine Parr in “SIX” and also played Audrey in the Off-Broadway revival of “Little Shop of Horrors.” Tyson was seen as Kizette in the pre-Broadway mounting of “Lempicka” at La Jolla Playhouse.
