Hoping to spark higher EV sales, General Motors Co. is offering owners adapters to access the Tesla Supercharger network.

General Motors Company (NYSE:GM) shares are trading higher on Wednesday. Starting today, the company will provide its customers access to over 17,800 Tesla, Inc. (NASDAQ:TSLA) Superchargers using a GM-approved NACS DC adapter.

General Motors Co. said Wednesday it will offer access to more than 17,800 Tesla Inc. superchargers through a $225 NACS DC adapter that it has approved for use with its electric vehicles (EVs). The move is part of an effort by the auto giant to provide access to more than 231,

EVgo, an electric vehicle charging company that has partnered with convenience retailers, is working with General Motors (GM) to deploy 400 fast charging stalls across the country. It also is launching new flagship stations, which will feature up to 20 stalls under a canopy co-branded by the two companies.
