NEW YORK — The Mets haven’t skipped a beat since shortstop Francisco Lindor went down with a lower back injury last Friday. A big part of that has been the emergence of rookie Luisangel Acuña, who was called up to take over for Lindor last Saturday.

The surprise is how well the Mets have compensated for Francisco Lindor missing from the leadoff spot and shortstop in the week he has been out.
