HONOLULU (Island News) -- Today, November 11, 2024, marks Veterans Day, a federal holiday dedicated to honoring the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces. This day commemorates the end of World War I on November 11, 1918, and this year, the nation observes the 70th anniversary of the holiday.
