A new area in the southwest Caribbean Sea is being monitored for tropical development. There is a 40% chance of development over the next several days. A broad low-pressure system can form in the southwest Caribbean Sea.

The National Hurricane Center (NHC) has outlined another area in the Caribbean for possible tropical development over the next 3-7 days. This is the only area that has any sort of outlook issued for it.
