Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen has left the field on a stretcher after sustaining a knee injury in the team’s 5-1 win over Villarreal in the Spanish league.

Barcelona maintained their unbeaten start to the La Liga season with a 5-1 victory over Villarreal but it's a victory that will cause concern for manager Hansi Flick as star keeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen was stretchered off in tears before halftime due to a knee injury.

André ter Stegen suffered a severe knee injury during a match against Villarreal, potentially ruling him out for the rest of the season. The injury has added to Barcelona's growing list of sidelined players.
