TALLAHASSEE — Florida posted a record third-quarter tourism total this year, with the numbers bolstered by U.S. visitors as international travel continued to lag behind pre-pandemic levels, according to the Visit Florida tourism-marketing agency.

Nearly 34.6 million people traveled to Florida from July through September — shattering another tourism record for the state.

With its beaches, amusement parks, and great weather, it‘s no secret that Florida is a hotbed for tourism, and according to recent data, those tourism numbers are only getting stronger.

Florida broke tourism records for a third consecutive quarter in 2024, Governor Ron DeSantis announced on Tuesday.

Florida had 34.6 million visitors in the third quarter this year, breaking the state record for third-quarter visitors, according to a news release by Gov. Ron DeSantis. It’s the third quarter in a row that record numbers of tourists have vacationed in the Sunshine State.

Florida continues to be a top tourist destination, with record-breaking visitor numbers in the third quarter of 2024. The state welcomed 34.6 million visitors, marking a 1.8% increase over the same period in 2023.
