One of the company's most prominent woman executives will retire from the job she took after the in-flight panel blowout. She's been with Boeing over 33 years.

Doug Ackerman, the Vice President, Supplier Quality at Boeing Commercial Airplanes, will replace Lund at the end of her term. The latest development comes as Boeing prepares to restore its production schedule for some of its most popular planes after a nearly two-month-old machinists’ strike at the company.
