Novak Djokovic declined to do a customary postmatch TV interview at the Australian Open after his win Sunday night to protest comments made on air by someone who works for the official broadcaster of the tournament in the host country.

Novak Djokovic chose to skip his on-court post-match interview after his Sunday third round win over Jiri Lehecka at the Australian Open, later explaining that it was because of comments made by Australian broadcaster Channel 9's Tony Jones.

Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic have set up a quarterfinal showdown at the Australian Open. Tuesday's contest will be their eighth head-to-head matchup, but their first at Melbourne Park and their first that is neither a semifinal nor a final.
